The trekkers of Lamayuru Alchi Trek is started its journey from the Delhi region and ends also with Delhi during their 9 days trip of tour. In their second day, they fly from Delhi to Leh. In Leh, the tourists wonder in the place of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis. In the 4th day of the tours of Lamayuru Alchi Trek, the tourists depart towards Lamayuru and also enjoy the Wanla and Tarla area. From Tarla, trekkers turn towards Mang Gyu region and from the Mang Gyu they treks in Alchi and after it in the 9th day pf the tours, they return to Delhi.
During their 9 days tour of Lamayuru Alchi Trek, trekkers treks much and enjoys the wildlife natural scenery.
Day 1:- Arrive – Delhi
On arrival meet and assist at the Airport with our local representative and facilitate you check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2:- Delhi – Leh
Meet on arrival at Leh airport by our Representative and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day for relaxation, this is necessary for getting acclimatized. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3:- Leh Sightseeing
On this day you will go a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries in this area.such as Hemis Gompa, shay palce, stakna, Thiksey Monastery. In the evening back to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 4:- Leh -Lamayuru (3 to hours drive approx)- Wanla 3250 meters(3 to 4 hours approx)
In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive towards Lamayuru (3 hours drive approx) along the Indus River through Sham valley. En route- we will visit Lamayuru monastery, After visiting the Lamayuru Monastery, we start our trek towards Wanla, We will gradually move up to the small Pass of Prinkti La (3750m). then we walk down a narrow gorge to the small village of Shilla, and the last 3 km will take us to Wanla (3250m). Overnight at Camps.
Day 5:- Wanla -base of Tarla 5200 m (7 to 8 hours approx)
Morning after breakfast we will follow the left side of the valley along a small stream for around a hour and arrive at the scattered Ursi village .We will walk a little further to arrive at our campsite at base of Tarla in the evening. Overnight at Camps.
Day 6:- Base of Tarla -Tar (6-7 hrs)
Today, we will have to trek up and down a few times before reaching the Tarla (5200 m). Climbing down is difficult due to a mass of fallen rocks strewn. It takes 3-4 hrs for us to reach our campsite at the village of Tar. Overnight at Camps.
Day 7:- Tar -Mang Gyu (4-5 hrs)
From Tar, the path heads up along the mountainside to a small Pass. We will take a easy walk towards Mang Gyu village ,T here are traditional Ladakhi houses and a Ancient monastery worth visiting. It is believed that the monasteries of the Mang Gyu and Alchi were built on the same day. Overnight at Camps.
Day 8:- Mang Gyu -Alchi (4/5 hrs trek)- Leh (3hrs drive)
Today would be last day of our trek , We will end our last day trek by walking down a very beautiful arrow valley covered with rosebushes all along the path. We will reach the village of Gera, where we’ll find our vehicle waiting to take us back to Leh. But before that we will visit the beautiful and famous monasteries of Alchi and Likir. Later drive towards Leh. Upon arrival at Leh. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9:- Leh – Delhi
In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel, and transfer to the airport for the catch the flight for Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, transfer to IGI airport time to catch the flight for onward destination.
