A ten days trip which involves drive to Gangotri , the ancient source of the holy river Ganga and trek to the finest high altitude Himalayan lake, Kedar tal (4912 mts) and further Patangni Dhar punctuated with breath stopping close view of Greater Himalayan peaks e.g. Thaleysagar (6904 mts), Brigupanth (6772 mts) and Jogin Group of peaks , Gangtri group , Rudugaira and others . The emerald lake with melting snow of Kedar glacier originates kedarganga, a tributary of Bhagirathi, considered as lord Shiva,’s contribution to Bhagirathi. One can encounter a good variety of high altitude fauna e.g. Bharal (blue sheep), Goral, Himalayan black bear with a great variety of birds.

Day 1:- Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi airport met our representative and then transfer to pre booked hotel. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2:- Delhi – Haridwar – Rishikesh (175 kms/ 4-5 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh via Haridwar. Upon arrival at Rishikesh check in to hotel. Evening free to explore the area. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel

Day 3:- Rishikesh – Uttarkashi – Gangotri
In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive towards Gangotri, On arrival at Gangotri check into the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4:- Gangotri – Bhojkharak Trek
Morning after breakfast trek to Bhoj Kharak. The steep ascent to Bhoj Kharak starts as we leave the camp. After an hour climb we travers kedar gorge to reach Bhoj kharak. The entire trek is along Kedar Ganga , through fir (cedus ) and Bhoj (birch) trees. The bark of birch was used as paper for ancient manuscript in Inida. Arrive Bhoj Kharak and camp. Meals and overnight camp.

Day 5:- Bhoj Kharak – Kedar Kharak Trek
Today we leave the tree line and trek through a long meadow with Bhrigupanth peak in backdrop. Arrive and camp near the gushing stream in the meadow. Meals and overnight camp.

Day 6:- Kedar Kharak – Kedartal– Kedar Kharak:
Today the trek is very steep and through boulders and stones. After 3-4 hrs walking on difficult terrain we reach Kedartal . Arrive and camp. Enjoy an excellent sunset on Thaleysagar peak with its reflection in the lake. We will return bak to Kedar Kharak & stay overnight at camp.

Day 7:- Kedar Kharak – Patangni Dhar – Dabba.
Today we will climb through the ridge of Patangni. The entire route is quite strenuous through bolder zone . The entire Kedar Basin and the surrounding mountain range will much more prominent from the pass . On a clear day one can also easily point out Odens Col from the pass. The way down to Dabba is bit slippery . Overnight at camp.

Day 8:- Dabba -  Rudugaira Base Camp (4350m)
Through the Rudugaira Nala we have to cross the glacier to base of mount Rudugaira .The camp site offered excellent views of the snow peaks around us. We had the Rudugaira peak to the South-West, Gangotri I, Gangotri II, Gangotri III to the South and the Jogin I to the South-East. We also caught the first glimpse of Auden’s Col from the campsite.

Day 9:- Rudugaira Base Camp  – Gangotri
Today we will gradually climbing down to the base of Rudugaira Nala and further to Gangotri at the afternoon . Witness evening prayer at Gangotri temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganges. Meals and overnight at hotel.

Day 10:- Gangotri – Rishikesh
In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive towards Rishikesh. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11:- Rishikesh – Delhi
In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive towards Delhi, On arrival at Delhi departs towards onwards destination.
