The Sham dale sited in the minor fraction of Ladakh is renowned for its prettiness and affluence through the harvesting term. This Lamayuru to Chilling Trek goes after the old line route to Lamayuru region which moves away from the Kargil -Leh path at the Photu La territory. Consistent with myth, Lamayuru was one time famous as a lake, which amazingly vanished by the hand of Lotsawa and Naropa. The monastery at Lamayuru area erected in the time of 10th century is single of the oldest in Ladakh, and relates to the Kargyu faction of Tibetan Buddhism. Lamayuru to Chilling Trek presents not only vision of the numerous wildlife beauties of Ladakh, but also several of its most prominent monasteries and the conventional way of life of the citizens.

The tour of Lamayuru to Chilling Trek was completed within the 9days trip which was started from the Delhi destination. The further day of the tour, the trekker flies towards Leh and treks in the striking region of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis in Leh. In the 4th day of the Lamayuru to Chilling Trek, visitors run towards Lamayuru and whole day they wander in the valleys of Lamayuru for enjoyment and watch many Gompas too. The next day of the tour, from Lamayuru trekers turns towards Wanla, Hinju, Sumda Doksa, Dung Dung Chan la base, and in the end they reach in Chilling for trekking. The final day of the Lamayuru to Chilling trek, visitors depart to Leh and turn towards their homes with memorable scene of Chilling trek.

  • Day 01:Arrival Delhi
  • Day 02:Arriva Kathgodam & Drive To Loharkhet
  • Day 03:Loharkhet – Kharkiya ( 5 HRS BY JEEP ) & TREK TO KHATI (5 kms, 2 hrs)
  • Day 04:Khati – Dwali (2575 M/8498 FT)
  • Day 05:Dwali – Phurkta (14300 FT) TO PINDARI CAMP SITE 3660 MTS (12,000 feet).
  • Day 06:PINDARI GLACIER CAMP – DWALI
  • Day 07:Bagubassa – Roopkund (4450 mts/14600 ft) – Bedni Bugyal (7-8 hrs)
  • Day 08:Bedni Bugyal – Wan (10 km/ 3-4 hrs) – Rudraprayag
  • Day 09:Rudraprayag – Haridwar – Delhi
  • Day 10:Delhi – Departure

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01:Arrive – DelhiOn arrival meet and assist at the Airport with our local representative and facilitate you check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 02:Delhi – LehMeet on arrival at Leh airport by our Representative and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day for relaxation, this is necessary for getting acclimatized. Overnight stay at hotel.
  • Day 03:Leh SightseeingOn this day you will go a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries in this area.such as Hemis Gompa, shay palce, stakna, Thiksey Monastery. In the evening back to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 04:Leh – Kargil( 235 Kms approx)In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive twoards Kargirl. On arrival at Kargirl check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 05:Kargil – Padum (260 Kms approx)In the morning after having the breakfast check out from the hotel and drive towards Padum. In the evening arrive at Padum. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 06:Padum – Karsha (3600 meters) 4 to 5 hours trekIn the morning after breakfast we will start our trek towards Karshan, a enjoyable walk through the ground. On the way we can spend some time at Pepiting monastery and the Karsha Gompa–one of the most important in Zanskar and dating back to the 15th century. We have beautiful panoramic vistas of the full Himalayan range. In the later afternoon reach at our camp site. Overnight at Camps.
  • Day 07:Karsha – Pishu (3470 meters) 5 to 6 hours trekContinue, to the left bank of Zanskar river and sometime crossing the morainic plateau after crossing a bridge, Pidmu is reached and after 2 hrs we reach at Hanumil. Overnight at Camps.
  • Day 08:Pishu – Hanumil (3380 meters)5 to 6 hours trekAn easy-going walk along the right bank of the river takes us to Rinam village. We continue to the tiny hamlet of Hanumil.
  • Day 09:Hanumil – Purfi La (3950 meters) – Snertse (3850 meters) 6 to 7 hours trekOne hour easy path beyond Hanumil then it leads upto plateau from Zanskar edge then to the foot of the pass. After steep and difficult climb to Purfila 3900 Mtrs now steep descent will reach Oma-chu river. cross bridge and again after a steep and difficult climb of about one Km. Overnight at Camps.
  • Day 10:Snerstse – Hanuma La (4950 meters) – Lingshet (4000 meters) 6 to 7 hours trekAfter a steep climb, we reach the Purfi La pass, from where the panorama towards the Ladakhi and Zanskari ranges is quite impressive. Visit of Lingshet monastery. Overnight at Camps.
  • Day 11:Hanumil – Purfi La (3950 meters) – Snertse (3850 meters) 6 to 7 hours trekAround one hour easy climb up to Margumla (4100 Mtrs) descent along the slope (beautiful landscape) view of Nierang valley . After passing the village of Gongma (3840 Mtrs) and Skiumpata a steep ascent to Kubala (3800 Mtrs). Go on climbing upto the foot of Singela. Overnight at Camps.
  • Day 12:Camp before Singue La – Singue La (5050 meters) – Photoksar (4200 meters) 6 to 7 hours trekAn amazing spectacle of hanging icefalls. We descend towards the Photang River and progress through barley fields.Overnight at Camps.
  • Day 13:Photoksar – Sirsir La (4850 meters) – Hanupatta (3760 meters) 6 to 7 hours trekFrom Photoksar after a gentle climb of one hour takes to a large chorten after a long ascent is Sirsirla last ascent is steep. Now descent to river cross bridge and after passing stony valley arrive at the camp site little before Hanupatta (3450 Mtrs). Overnight at Camps.
  • Day 14:Hanupatta – Wanla (3250 meters) 5 to 6 hours trekWe head down towards the Photang valley and climb up to the Panjila pass (3410m). We finally descend to Wanla and visit its tiny monastery. Overnight at Camps.
  • Day 15:Wanla – Lamayuru (3420 meters) 4 hours trekToday would be end of the our trek . In the afternoon arrive at Lamayuru & check into the hotel. Later can visit monastery at Lamayuru, which is the biggest in western Ladakh and was built in the 16th century on the site of a much older temple. The gompa is very well kept and famous for its many colorful wall paintings.Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 16:Lamayuru – LehIn the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive towards Leh. On arrival at Leh, check into the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 17:Leh – DelhiIn the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel, and transfer to the airport for catch the flight for onward destination.
