There is a pony stand as well, from where one can hire ponies / horses for small excursions. At Aru, the camp is already set up for you beside the Lidder River. The glacier, climbing from 3400 m up to 4000 m descends from the twin peaks (5425 m) that tower majestically overhead. In order to get good views, we’ll climb up to at least 3400 m (at the foot of the glacier), but climbing on another hour is even more rewarding.
