Best Time to go for Trekking in Uttarakhand Himalayas:

Different trekking destinations of Uttarakhand regions can be explored all throughout the year depending on the type and nature of trek. Winter season is an ideal time for exploring Kuari Pass Trek. Sprawled with dense forest cover and the tributaries of river Ganges; the beauty of Kuari Pass Trek underlined by the snowfall during the winter season. Whereas Bagini Glacier Trek can be explored round the year but the summer months April – May and winter months mid October to November is the most suitable time to go for trekking. Valley of flowers and Hemkund Sahib Trek which is covered with snow round the year is accessible only in the month of June.

How to Reach

Since Dehradun is the base for the Uttarakhand Region Trekking spot, you can reach there by air, rail or bus route. Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun which is 25 km from the city has flights reaching there from Delhi daily. Alternately, overnight train can be taken from Delhi to reach Dehradun early morning. Regular bus service from ISBT connects Delhi and Dehradun. Since the pickup is from Dehradun railway station at 6 am, you need to make bookings accordingly so that you can reach there from Dehradun bus stand.
